I am a member of Communication Council, the official student body and governing voice of The Moody College of Communication, at The University of Texas at Austin. In this group, our Career and Alumni Relations Committee put on an amazing event where Bob Iger spoke about his career and experiences with the students at UT. Additionally, several of us got the chance to meet Bob Iger that morning where we were able to ask many questions and gain valuable advice.

dressed for success!

I told him how I was doing the Disney College Program and he was very excited to hear that and he told me that I was going to have an incredible time and to make sure that I took it all in. He also said that it was a great place to start for a career with Disney and this made my heart soar!! Hearing about all of his experience with Disney was such a treat. I was over the moon this day. I am still shocked that I got to meet him! It was a true honor. I am so thankful for Communication Council and everyone who helped put on this event.

A picture I took from his speech that night. I was sitting on the second row!

He also told me to say hello if I saw him in the parks. And y’all know I will !!!! 🙂

Fun Fact: his favorite ride is Pirates of the Caribbean and his favorite movie is Toy Story. This makes me want to work either Pirates or in the new Tory Story Land even more !! 🙂
